Wardruna kommen aus der Black Metal-Szene. Einar Selvik, der Mastermind hinter dem Projekt (und seit Gaahls Austritt auch Sänger), hat sich schon mehrfach offen gegen Rechtsextremismus ausgesprochen. Ein Grund für dieses Projekt ist es, den Leuten die nordische Mythologie, Runen, etc. wieder näher zu bringen - losgelöst von dem Missbrauch dessen durch die Nazis.

I am fully aware of how these labels work, and what they are meant to do.
Those of the Muslim faith...here is your chance. Stand up and fight against this minority you speak of that's ruining your credibility. Don't run, don't hide, and refuse to bury your head in the sand! Don't just sheepishly announce "not me", or "i don't back it" in order to save face with the rest of the world...Rend from your tomes the words of your prophet that move against the rights of the other humans you share this planet with, and actively fight back! This is how real change is affected...Not by an outside force, but from within. Take back your towns, your cities, your countries and dethrone the zealots that will stop at nothing until their murderous and vengeful god is appeased.
I challenge ALL religions, Ideologies, and philosophies to take a minute and acknowledge the real enemy. SILENCE and COMPLACENCY. Speak your mind loudly and with purpose. Proclaim from the rooftops that we are nothing without our individuality and our voice!
Words may never hurt you, but unchecked religious dogma has the tendency of picking up sticks and stones whenever we become complacent and lazy.
This will hopefully be my last "sermon" here on the matter. I'd much rather stick to fun animal pictures, silly memes, and the random bolstering of one of my music endeavors, or friend's business.
no one owes you respect people...you have to earn it.
I will now get back to work helping people to find employment, creating music, and scribbling down random notes for my book.

Das schlimmste sind aber die Leute auf seiner, der BSF Faccebook Page. Die könnten argumentativ auch direkt aus dem Frei Wild Universum kommen.
